Kemper Village Homes

Construction at Kemper Village Homes in Boonville, MO has been underway for a couple of months now. A vast majority of the site excavation has been completed and site utilities are in progress. As a running theme this time of year, the weather has been an issue. However, a significant portion of the drive lane into the new development has been poured, as well as a couple lot footings. With weather sure to improve over the next month, we anticipate the project construction to really progress! Once complete, the project will provide 40 single-family homes. Woodbury Place

With four out of seven of the 6-plex buildings complete, the project is moving rapidly towards completion. Despite the inclement weather, work has continued with little interruption to the buildings. If the same could only be said for the concrete and landscaping work; it has been a tough winter! In the coming weeks, we anticipate the completion of the remaining 6-plex buildings and community building. Feel free to stop by at the end of each month for more updates.

Lucas Place

Keep an eye open for future redevelopment in downtown Kansas City's Garment District. Lucas Place, an old industrial building once known as the Burnham-Hanna-Munger Manufacturing Co., will provide 130 market-rate apartment units. Jennings Senior Apartments

This much-needed senior living facility is moving right along with projected completion in Spring of 2011. Located in Jennings, MO, this project will provide 50 one- and two-bedroom units for independent seniors searching for quality, affordable housing. Woodbury Place

Despite the snow and cold weather, Woodbury Place is progressing very well. Located in O'Fallon, MO, the project is slated for completion in the Spring of 2011. Grand Boulevard Lofts

The Grand Opening for Grand Boulevard Lofts has been scheduled for January 26, 2011. Mayor Funkhouser and Developer George Sherman will speak on the project to a large audience including the Kansas City Urban Core Group, which will hold its monthly gathering at the building.

This long vacant and blighted, historic building in downtown Kansas City has recently been renovated into 134 apartment units. The renovation of this prominent 17-story building, located at 10th & Main, was completed to meet the National Park Service's standards for historic preservation. This building will serve the ever increasing demand for quality, workforce housing inside the downtown loop. One of the largest hurdles faced by the project was assembling the myriad layers of financing, which included three governmental organizations, four tax credit programs, and public-private investments. Along with the building renovation, the Grand Boulevard streetscape was also beautified.

Chatham Apartments Restoration

Chatham Apartments, located at 37th Street and Broadway in Kansas City, has been vacant for several years but, now will be undergoing a $9.3 million renovation. The renovation of the 1920s-era Chatham Apartments is anticipated to assist revitalization of one of Kansas City’s premier streets. Crown Square Grand Opening/Street Festival

The old 14th Street pedestrian mall, now reborn as Crown Square, is celebrating its Grand Opening tomorrow evening from 4-8 PM. As part of Crown Village, this project has been 'several years in the making' and completed through a lot of hard work and dedication by all involved parties.
